Both are true.
That you grow through pain.
That the lesson is hidden in the dirt.
That comfort is the enemy of progress.
Is one truth.
But you can also grow through joy.
When you experience safety and love for the first time in your life, you learn that peace is safe.
That is growth.
You learn that joy is safe.
You learn that safety is a gorgeous thing.
That it is safe to be loved.
That is growth.
Growth doesn’t just lie in pain.
We also grow through the exquisite experience of joyful new things that heal the pain.
Growth comes through both discomfort and comfort, through pain and joy.
Both are true.
That you should never give up is true.
That you have to push through, keep going, keep the hope and keep the faith.
That the right thing sometimes is hard and doesn't flow and you have to push for it.
And it’s true that at times you have to give up.
That the right thing is easy.
That you should go where the flow is.
Both are true.
That you can love someone and it’s difficult and that relationships require work.
Don’t throw in the towel. Put in the effort.
That you can love someone but you need to love them from a distance. That no amount of work can make you work.
Both are true.
That you can be innocent and a villain.
Both are true.

I absolutely love this, SO beautiful! There's never just one way to experience, feel or learn something. That last line though. YES.
Beautifully written! I also have that book by Melody Beattie, I’ve been reading it for over 2 years and its lessons still give me those necessary reminders☺️💟
